Fotobabble
This is a fotobabble I did on a book of 'Omen Of The Stars, Warriors, Sign of the Moon' by Erin Hunter.
With this activity I found that I was reading a little too softly and I couldn't hear myself properly. I think next time I would need to speak a little louder, with expression and clarity.
These are some book reviews that I have written:
Guardians of Ga' Hoole- Exile
I am reading a book from the Guardians of Ga'Hoole Series. It is called Exile and is about a group of owls known as 'The Band'. Soren is a barn owl and is the leader of their group. His task is to save the Great Ga'Hoole tree as well as the Pure Ones who are trying to destroy the Great Ga'Hoole tree and Coryn is their only son. There are fifteen books in the Guardians of Ga'Hoole and there are two additional books. It is a really good series and Ihope you can read it too.
Warriors- Into the Wild
'Into the Wild' is about a cat and 5 different clans. The cat is called Rusty and used to be a kittypet which is a cat owned by humans. He wanted to be a clan cat and decided to join Thunderclan. He was named Firepaw because of his flame coloured fur paw means his is an apprentice. in this series of Warriors it is about how Firepaw journeys through hois clan, tough times and battles. It is about how Firepaw turns into a warrior called Fireheart and then one day he becomes Firestar leader of Thunderclan.
Guardians Of Ga'Hoole- The War of the Ember
In the war of the e,ber the last and finale book in the Guardians of Ga'Hoole a blue owl called to be the Striga joins forces with Nyra, leader of the Pure Ones. Hagfiends are a deadle creature that can paralyse owls woth a yellowness that seeps out of its eyes and Hagfiend eggs are said to be hatched on the Lunar Eclipse and are a mix of a crow and a owl, their feathers are dark, long and shaggy. 'The Band' has a plan to hide the Ember of Hoole in another place without the Pure Ones noticing. Good fights evil as the book suggests it's called the War of the Ember. Guardians Of Ga'Hoole calls to all good creatures everywhere: Gadfeathers (Sings and dosen't believe in fighting), Kraals (owls that are pirates), polar bears, greenowls, puffins, seagulls, grey wolves and dire wolves. Fight for freedom as they make their way to the Hot Gates of the Beyond where the fate of the six kingdoms would be decided after the War of the Ember.
Wolves Of The Beyond- Lone Wolf
Another series from Kathryn Lasky called Wolves of the Beyond and the first book is called 'Lone Wolf'. Guardians Of Ga'Hoole talks about owls while Wolves of the Beyong talks about Wolves. These two stories are linked together in a thoughtful way because Kathryn Lasky has drawn a map at the start of the book and east off the Wolve's Island is the Great Ga'Hoole Tree. Lone wolf is about a baby wolf called Faolan and as a baby Faolan was forced out of their pack because f his twisted paw. The pack leader has a helper called 'The Obea', who carries wolf pups with disabilities like a twisted paw, missing tail or even a missing eye that will make the clan weak. The Obea carries it to a place where it is left to die or unless it is fortunate enough to find it's way back to the pack they will become Gnaw Wolves. The lowest ranked member of the Pack. Because Faolan was a Gnaw Wolf he eats last and just gnaws on the bones while the other pack members just eat all the flesh. This is a journey about Faolan andhow he one day becomes the best of the best.
Quiz Reflection Questions
Explain the task
We chose Quiz Revolution to create a quiz. We had to read a 2012 Shortlisted book to do our quiz. Our group chose 'The Dream of the Thylacine' as our book. Everyone had about 2-3 questions to make up for our quiz and there were 8 questions altogether.
What did you enjoy most about this task?
The thing I most enjoyed about the task was Making the Quiz and possibly even creating the questions.
What was your biggest challenge?
My biggest challenge was probably creating the 8th question because it was hard trying to make a question where you have to infer it.
Which skill did you find the most useful?
How to create questions and thinking would help me alot when I think of answers for the question.
List 2 ways this task could help you in your future learning?
-Doing this task helped me because now I know how to create a CR Code and now I also know what a QR Code is.
-Now I also know how to create a Quiz and what websites can be reliable.
This is where I will display my reading work
